Is there after school care for elementary?
Your question about after school care options for elementary students is a good one. All of the schools in the Central Point School District offer aftercare provided by the YMCA from the time of school dismissal (2:20) until 6 pm.
What if my child struggles? Are there supports?
Your question about students who fall behind is a good one. We have many supports in place for our students – in addition to the highly trained level of our classroom teachers, we have a Title program with extra aides who push into classes and provide academic support during the day in areas of need for students. We have a Student Study Team process that can identify non-academic issues and provide appropriate supports (socio-emotional groups, etc.) and we have a bilingual Speech Language Pathologist who supports students with language and processing challenges.
If my child has a sibling in the TWI program, do I still need to apply?
If your child has a sibling in the TWI program, you still must apply for their spot. Their acceptance is guaranteed.
What research supports dual immersion?

We don´t live near Jewett. Can I still apply?
Of course! We accept students from all over District 6 AND the Rogue Valley. To find out what school and/or which district your student is a resident of, please use THIS school locator. If your address is located OUTSIDE of the Central Point School District, you must contact the District Office of the school district in which you reside to begin the Out of District transfer process. If your address is located INSIDE of the Central Point School District but Jewett is not your home school, you must fill out an In District transfer application here.
